‘Joshua is back to his best,’ says Garba

Nigeria U20 coach Manu Garba is delighted with goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo for his steady improvement after his mistakes cost the Flying Eagles victory against Brazil.

Against the Canarinho, the  MFM FC goalkeeper goofed Boschilia’s 25-yard shot before the hour-mark that swerved wildly before clipping the inside of the post on its own way in before letting in a fourth after allowing the ball to squirm through his legs and enabling Judivan to smash home from a few centimetres out.
Ever since, he has been impressive keeping clean slates in the Flying last two matches. Against Hungary, his raking throw travelled almost to the edge of the opposition box before being seized on by Taiwo Awoniyi, who finished clinically  which doubled Nigeria's lead in the 54th minute.
“Joshua is a really good goalkeeper. He didn't just show it against Hungary - his performance was equally flawless against Korea DPR,” Garba told Fifa.com.
“All players make a mistake [at least] once in their careers. Look at the Brazil keeper: he committed exactly the same error in their game against Hungary.
“This is a point we sought to impress on all the players, but particularly him.
“And now Joshua is back to his best, to our great delight,” added.
Nigeria face the Germans who have the joint second-best defence in the competition behind Ukraine, having only conceded once and also boast of 16 goals from three games, but Manu is confident that his boys are ready for the task ahead.
“If we want to be champions, we have to be ready to take on any team. We have the tools to match them,” he concluded.
