Migrants in custody after killing 10 passengers on boat heading from Africa to Spain after believing priest's prayers caused bad weather

Two migrants have been arrested after allegedly going berserk and killing ten passengers aboard a boat heading from Africa to Spain after believing that a priest's prayers caused bad weather.

The pair are accused of hitting their victims with wooden planks which they then used to push them overboard during a row which began when a Nigerian priest started praying because he feared bad weather would capsize the boat. 

Police believe the alleged killers wrongly interpreted the priest's prayers as the cause of the bad weather, leading them to kill up to ten passengers on the boat that eight babies perished on.

FG Has Spent N10bn On 2nd Niger Bridge – Jonathan

Asaba, Jan. 17, 2015 (NAN) President
Goodluck Jonathan said the Federal
Government has spent N10 billion on
construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge out
of the N130 billion total cost of the
project.
The President disclosed this when he
stopover at the project’s site in Asaba on
Saturday on his way to PDP campaign in
Onitsha, Anambra.
Jonathan said it was a big project being
executed under a Public Private
Partnership (PPP) arrangement.
He said that now that it had taken off, its
execution would go on smoothly and
uninterrupted through to 48 months
completion period.
“So far, out of the N130 million total cost
of the project, we have spent about N10
billion.

18 year Nigerian upcoming rapper named Isaiah
Ekpaloba (above) died on January 9th after he
was stabbed in Wood Green, UK, after a fight with
another teenager. Isaiah and a man named
Jaydee Dorsett engaged in physical combat that
involved the use of knifes on Friday afternoon and
by the time they were done, the two young men
suffered stab wounds. Isaiah took himself to the
hospital to get treated but died shortly after.
They later said his cause of death was shock,
haemorrhage and a stab wound to the chest.
Jaydee, who was also taken to hospital for stab
wounds, was arrested and has been charged with
murder. He’s currently on trial where he’s
claiming self defense.

A plane full of senior Philippine officials who

were part of Pope Francis's entourage to the

island veered off the runway as it prepared for

take-off as storms lashed the region.

The jet carrying 11 people was due to leave

Tacloban airport just minutes after the Pope's

plane left for Manila when its front tyres blew

and overshot the track.

No one was hurt but authorities closed the

airport as tropical storm Mekkhala hit the region
